The Bugatti that went for a swim

Is at a shop about 10 minutes from my house. I never thought I'd see one of these in person. Amazing car.

Yes, it's the one that went into the water.

There were no seats or carpet in the car, and the grill is pushed in. Other than that the body looks fine. I would have to assume the motor was not damaged since the intakes are up on top of the car, I don't see how it would have sucked any water in.

There are plenty of people around my area that know the guy, or have met him and they say that the wreck had absolutely nothing to do with insurance fraud. I guess people just get mad and make up stories since they can't afford the car.

That was his story, kinda hard to tell if there was really one there in the video.

what are they going to do with a car like this? it costs way to much to total it so that means fixing it no matter what the cost doesn't it?

It is my understanding that he is fixing it and going to sell it, since he already has another one.

I really don't see it being damaged that bad. Like I said since the intakes are on top of the car, I doubt the motor was damaged. It is getting a complete new interior, and the body was not damaged other than the grill being pushed in. New grill, new interior, and a thorough cleaning and I don't see why he couldn't sell it for a discounted price.
