Before and after

thanks for the kind words
the cabinets are great -- for my garage the cabinets against the wall on the right side -- gread idea to get cabinets with sliding doors as opposed to doors that swing open.
I struggled with the floor decision... tiles or some epoxy or concreate treatment...
The race deck was a great choice for me -- but a friend of mine had his concrete floor done by a pro and it is damn nice as well...
race deck is easy, multiple colors, etc... a good fit for my needs.
All in all I am happy with the way it turned out... I just wish it was bigger!

all items sourced and installed by Griots... http://www.griotsgarage.com/
the flooring is Race Deck (2 foot tiles) http://www.racedeck.com/
I worked out a deal with Griots for full monty -- parts and install... thought it would be a good move for them locally to be able to offer "turn key" makeovers...
I said that they could use it in their marketing etc...
Prior to starting I got some quotes from from other "garage specialists" that do offer the turn key garage mod that I was looking for and the pricing was quite high.
So I approached Griots with pictures of my bare garage and told them what I had in mind -- a full Griots makeover -- and then discussed budget etc...
I think we were both exicted to get it going and the price was agreed upon and the parts ordered etc...
There was some difficulty in scheduling and for them to get "all the way" into this, they will need to have their own installer on staff.
So it took much longer than expected to get it DONE but I was respectful of the discount I was receiving, mindful that this was their first "job" and that they had bugs to work out, and that my contact at Griots has a lot on his plate... in the end I am very happy with the $ spent and the quality of the install.
The bigger items -- cabinets, 6 tube fancy flourescent lights over each engine, floor, compressor in the corner, wall mounted vaccum, overhead reel mounted extension cords (great for trickle chargers) etc..
What would I do differently?
Look into a side mount garage door opener to allow for a future lift for another car... right now my wife has a pretty solid argument for me not getting another car...we simply do not have any room... and beleive me, not having room is the #1 reason on her list of 100 reasons
I guess she has a point...
I want dhinkles RSA!!!!!
