Building a workbench...

I'm putting a workbench in the garage... the last piece of my plans is to decide whether to use MDF or Melamine board for the top...

opinions on either?

i just went to a local hardware store and bought a Solid wood door to use as my top. Works very well.

If you go to Home Depot they have laminate counter tops for for pretty cheap. Nothing fancy just pick your length and cut it. We put some of the "granite look" ones in a condo that we renovated and sold 2 years back. I think it would look awesome in a garage.

yeah those could work too^ depending on how much actual work your going to do on it.

Cause the laminate will scratch and whatnot.
