Silly question about garage doors+openers+car lifts
If I *know* that car lifts will be installed eventually, what garage opener/door system would you use to allow for the inevitable ~doubled headroom allowance? I just want to learn about the whole process since I have no clue. Look forward to your inputs. Photos would be great too! Thanks.

I know there are some garage door openers designed specifically for this, they are side mounted (near the top of either side of the door when shut), that can raise and lower the garage door so that you do not have an opener in the dead center of the garage. As far as where the actual door goes is in the design which depends on the overall height of the garage.
If you added a few interior photos of the garage I'm sure it would help.

PM me and I'll look up the garage door openers I have. They are great. It will take mme a bit to remember though. The opener is the little thing upper right of the garage door. Really quiet and nice to work with.

Ya no problem. I only wanted a PM because I need a reminder to do anything these days. Turn 40 this year and my memory is 80...
I have LiftMaster 3800 RJO's on the wall. They are tiny. So they only thing you have to worry about is where the garage door runs.
