2 post lift discussion

I'm building a garage for my house in Las Vegas and am planning on putting a 2 post lift in the back of one of the bays to work on the cars. I've done a little research but don't know which brand to trust - it seems as though each company touts their product as the safest, best, etc etc.

Any recommendations, tips, or simply discussion points about 2 post lifts?

Thanks.

go to garagejournal.com Lots of lifts discussions. It is not only the brand, but the space you require. Many quality ones, I personally like the Rotary for its height and footprint for my requirements.

Put in a Rotary and be done with it. Professional quality will hold up to anything you throw at it at home.

Bend or Rotary Asymetric. I have a Rotary and it's fantastic.
You'll want the multi stage arms (3 stage) that telescope.
Also, door guards are a must.
12' ceilings, and at least 6" of reinforced concrete....

Ditto on the two choices, based on what I hear from people that own them. The one criteria that I don't meet is the 12' ceilings. I wonder if the wife would mind if I knocked out the two bedrooms that are over the garage so I could get a lift in??
