Did you have to convert your garage door to high lift to clear the car on your lift? Looking to do the same.

Yes, the garage door had to be modified. Actually, the door itself is original. The modifications were: replacement of the ceiling-mounted motor unit with a side-mounted one, and extension of the track to put the door closer to the ceiling.

 

What I would do to have a high ceiling garage!

I just bought a new house and I cannot install a lift.
