Does anyone have any suggestions for a flooring upgrade to the garage in the video? What experiences have you had (good/bad)?

Nice!! for the floor look into a hybrid coating like a poly aspartic coating or you could polish the concrete. Some like Race deck too, it all comes down to how much work you do in there and what you need the floor to stand up to.

I like the idea of floor coating. I do all kinds of projects ranging from detailing, car maintenance, complete suspension installations on my cars as well as my friends cars. So, I need something I won't worry about damaging all the time. As you can probably guess, I'm OCD about things like a big scratch on the floor. Will poly asparatic coating hold up?

From what i've looked into the poly aspartic will be a good choice for you, you can see pics of it in the other flooring thread in the garage forum, I think Dock(Atlanta) posted some pics of his floor by Premier Garage.

I was torn between the poly aspartic floor and Race Deck, lots of guys like the race deck too, but given the climate we in( lots of snow and slush dragged in during winter) plus the work I do on my vehicles; lots of regular maintenance, suspension work welding, and metal fabrication, the best choice is either the poly aspartic or polished concrete...
Some have mentioned lots of moisture accumulating under the race deck tiles, followed by a stench.... may not be an issue based on where you live.
