My own garage (pole barn)

It has just hit 2 years since I had my pole barn built and decided to share everything i have done to make it what it has become in the last 2 years.

I did everything my self except build the pole barn, the concrete floor and hook up the panel box. It is very satisfying to be able to stand back and see that i did almost everything my self and easily saved over $10,000 by doing so!

I used Pioneer Pole Building and they were absolutely fantastic to deal with. I was having quotes and estimates while we were looking at houses. When we finally found a house i finalized the quote and began a half year process to get everything lined up between permits and hearings and finally began construction just over a year from buying the house.

First thing was i was responsible for the site to be ready and leveled so i borrowed a friends bobcat and went to town one weekend.

White flags are the corners where the building will be.

2 weeks later they delivered all the building materials and scheduled a build date! and 5 days after the delivery they were there early morning and got right to work. Each person had a task and with out hesitation measuered and marked off where the holes needed to be built and began drilling and not even a hour later from showing up, their bobcat was loaded back on the trailer and we waited for the county inspector to come look at the footer holes.

almost 2 hours later they were back to work!

Each person carried out items to each footer until all the posts and concrete mix were at the footers.

I had to upgrade my house electric before i could run power to the garage.

New wires ran and new panel boxes mounted and ready for BGE to hook up.

But first i had to remove the bushes out of the way for BGE to hook up. Its now May 2016...
