Well, I have completegarage.com coming at 11am and garagetek coming at 1pm. I did spend some time talking to the garagetek rep on the phone. just as the other poster said, it is $2K per wall, just to cover it. that does not include any cabinets, shelves, accessories, etc... he said to figure around $6K to cover all the walls, and additional $1500 to do the flooring, and then around $3K for the cabinets, blah blah blah. Looks like he'll have me right up to $10K in no time with the garagetek system. I may just have to paint my garage and live with it the way it is. $6K is just too much money for wall coverings. For anyone else that is interested in the garagetek system, it works out to $11 per squarefoot for the wall covering. That includes tax, labor, materials, cleanup, etc...

Dog these were the cabinets I got http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/searc...&vertical=TOOL

They do go on sale from time to time at 20% off, I love them. Everyone that sees them compliments. The construction is good and the price is reasonable too. They definatley do not feel cheap by any means.

what are thoughts on these tiles? should work out to about $2.20 a square foot, shipped. they have edge and corner pieces available as well. i can't imagine there is a big difference between these plastic tiles.

the salesman did recommend putting some thin foam underneath to avoid that "clickety clack" sound when you walk on them. i assume that would go for any of the plastic tiles that are installed on cement though.

Can you order a couple of tiles from various manufacturers and compare them?

you can, but i'm not sure if it's necessary. they're all plastic and they're all around 1/2 inch thick. i'm not sure it's worth the trouble ordering samples. i just can't imagine a big difference between these products.

DD Costco and Overstock stuff is relabled for them from Snap Lock It will be drop shipped from Utah just like Race Deck. The way the products snap togeather is the Snap Lock Pat. design. They use the low cost volume stores to move product. So you can buy the edge peices from Griots or any other RD dist. The downside is the limited color selection. Black white and charcoal worked for me so I was happy.

you just use that really thin foam they use under pergo. i just had some laminate floors installed, so i've seen this stuff. it's really thin but it should keep the tiles from being noisy on the concrete.

i just need to find a good source for the wall base. sandoval's link isn't working any more to griots and i can't find it on their website.
