One has to keep the cover clean. Standing water must be removed with a small hand pump. So though its pretty neat it still requires some level of maintanence.

does the cover have anykind of insulation. If so, this should help alot with keeping the pool heated 24/7

Also keeps additional chemicals etc much less as their is considerably less evaporation from the sun.

Who manufactured your cover out of curiosity?

Anyhow, we have one (by Cantar... yours looks similar to our unit) and absolutely LOVE it. The maintenance isn't too bad - just remember to keep the pump on there and you should be golden.

Of course, we have had two separate rips (our pool installers were *** clowns) but even with that we'd never build a pool without one.

In regards to crazy's question, you won't have a problem with insulation - our cover heats it up like its a pressure cooker. Absolutely amazing.
