I would be on a beach chair with a cup of coffee if I were a neighbor. Must have been pretty cool.

Thanks for sharing.

With the crane time costing $500-$700 per hour you go fast. They would not even stop for coffee !

Very much the pro's you would want building a project.

Cheers

So the walls came out pre-framed?

I never really understood why they built the roof first.

It was very simple and a good framer could have done that in 1 day.

Hi Cole,

They built the walls first, then the short temp walls.
They then built the roof at "ground" level. This was done to save time lifting trusses and working from scafolding.
The roof was then lifted and set in the front yard.
The walls were lifted and joined and the roof added.

This saved time and money (as I'm told).
It certainly was more fun ! (Kept the neighbors wondering)

BTW the crane reported the roof weight at 10,000-11,000 lbs

Cheers

Very cool! To be honest, for awhile I was wondering how the cars were going to get into the garage and why everything looked so low to the ground. I figured there was something I just wasn't seeing ... but now I'm glad I can attribute it to my own ignorance.

Looking great, and thanks for continually taking pictures and keeping us in the loop. I love seeing projects like this, but hate it when all of a sudden there are no updates for 6 months.
