A very in-expensive way to star, now for the side windows in plexiglass.

Might as well then get rid of your exhaust, stock wheels. That should save you another 35+ lbs! Also, get a CF hood (Gemballa like mine)

Looks hot!!

23lbs is great! but you really want the weight off the rear end, otherwise you are creating a greater inbalance.

Thanks,
The next program is a new exhaust (fvd race exhaust) and the wheels Volk TE37.

23lbs off the front will put more weight on the rear wheels which will make it grip more and for the rears im sure an aftermarket exhaust or pipes like one sharkester did will balance it up.Now im going to do the same to my turbo! Thanks for the tip!

The exhaust will balance it some, but having less weight on the fronts means the front of the car will have more of a tendency to "float" through turns. Yes, if straight line is all you care about (and braking for that matter), having more weight proportionally over the rear of the car will help you.

The wheels will make the most difference though, as less unsprung weight will make the car really shine in terms of being nimble and agile.

That's where it starts. Now you have another 200+ to go. 2700lbs is a good target

Great idea, I stripped both ends of my Boxster a few weeks ago. I need to go weigh it and see how much I took out.

Great mod!!

Are you planning to run spacers in the rear? I think the volks only come in offsets for the GT3, not RS.

Like what Jeremy Clarkson said when driving the previous GT3RS, "You know, Im going to feel guilty driving around this in my clothes. Ideally, I should do it naked." Hows that for shaving off a few pounds. Haha.
