Driving a GT on NJ roads

Hi all:
I wanted to know if anyone from the NJ area has any problems driving their GT on the horrible NJ roads. Will the car bottom out on the dips and potholes if not avoided? Can they go over normal speed bumps?

Is the car extremely rigid and not a pleasure to drive?

Also what about comfort? I realize it is a super sport car but does it get uncomfortable to drive after an hour or so? I sat in one and although the seats dont recline I thought it was a nice comfortable position.

I have a 2004 Ferrari 360 and it does good on the roads but it gets uncomfortable after more then 40 minutes of driving. There is no position for your my foot in this car.

THANKS

It is no problem on NJ roads. The car is very comfortable, the suspension although very stiff is more compliant than my turbo was so it is less skittish. The only piece that hits with large speed bumps or certain driveway angles is a plastic lip under the front spoiler. It sounds bad, scraping sound, but does no damage. Other than being difficult to get in and out of with the roof on the car is amazing to drive. I sold my Challange stradale when I got the CGT and there is no comparison. Fun car compared to engineering marvel. Good luck with the car you wont regret it.

Great news JD.
I was concerned that it was not a comfortable ride when compared to the Ferrari. It is good that you think it cannot be compared to the CS since I will also be trading out of the Fcar.

I wanted to make sure you don't jar your eyeballs when going over some of the unavoidable potholes and bumps. I was told the undercarriage is protected by a steel plate as well. I have not tried getting in and out of yet with the roof on but it was no problem with the roof off and thats the way it will be for the most part.

As far as the roads here in NJ , the only roads that may be decent are located in far west Jersey near PA. I live in the North east area and I can tell you that there is continuous never ending road work here for the last 7 years or so. They usually have those giant steel plates or uneven asphalt all over the place that is unavoidable for the most part.

THANKS

NJ has fine roads. Just not in the North East.
