Question for GT2 and GT3 Owners???

I own a 996TT with Pirelli Assymetricos. I'm looking to replace them on stock wheels with a quieter and more comfortable tire. I've read that GT2's and GT3's come equipped with the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's. I've been considering this tire even though I may have to run 235/40/18 up front instead of 225/40/18. My main question is whether you drivers can comment on how your tire noise is inside the car and overall comfort on mediocre roads and highways? Can you compare to Pirelli, Continental Conti 2's, or the 1st generation Pilots? Thanks for any help

In terms of grip and handling they are fine, not fantastic. The softer sidewalls make the ride a little easier than a very stiff tire, and they have good overall grip, but on the track the construction makes the car feel wallowy. Personally I would not use them again.

Its a tough comparison to do with the GT2 and GT3 hence the fact they have minimal sound insulation, but I can tell you that I have P zeros on the Turbo and have had experiences with the P Zero on other cars and have had Michelin Pilot Sports and Conti Sports and the Pirelli will give back the most road noise, they are all good tires but as for cars like these I would choose Michelin or Pirelli first.
