Fred, instead of using black condoms why not just get the black lugnuts originally used on 993's and a set of RUF wheel studs like I did. Looks MUCH better.

Fred,

I got the black locking lug nuts originally used on 993s which comes in a set of 4 and then I got 16 black lug nuts. I then ordered the wheel studs from the RUF auto centre in Dallas (about $110 dollars). You'll need 20 of those wheel studs. They'll also make it a lot easier to put the wheels on because you'd be just sliding them on and then tightening things with the lug nuts. You should be able to order the lug nuts from your Porsche dealership. Just say that they're from the 993s.

Either that or you could just order the Wheel Stud Set which also includes the lug nuts but not the locking nuts from RUF. Check out this:

http://www.rufautocentre.com/parts/pdf/993.pdf

Page 6 part number R96 300 361 36. I think it'd be cheaper to go the route I did.

fred, did you use the same people to paint your wheels again as they did with your original ones?

Also go to your local hardware store and pick up those 3/4" vacuum caps (or ones to protect chair legs). They are about < $1 each.
