I am with HotRod guy in post #42.

I thought VR Alex was a tool before I had met him (I had certainly heard alot
about him from both sides). The one and only time I met him he went out of his
way to help me in every way possible. He was a complete gentleman the whole time.
As for the CGT with straight pipes...They suck. I was in Liepzig for delivery of a friends
CGT and I drove it for 1 hour one day including about 600 miles as a passenger over several days. With the stock exhuast on, the music was pure Sex from the pipes,
louder is not better. Kinda like people who prefer straight pipes on a 996 twin turbo
compared to a nicely tuned and somewhat quiet Europipe Stage 2 quiet.
To each his own but in the CGT with stock pipes, one "blip" of the throttle and everyone
comes running to see the car.

it's too bad someone (anyone?) doesn't invite VR Alexander back to 6speedonline.com, isn't it?

then HE could chime in on HIS straight-pipe CGT.

Had the chance to spend an afternoon with Alex and his infamous CGT ... both the man and car were great company!

In real life and in traffic, I didn't think the car wasn't all that loud. Yes it's loud, but only when he gets on it. In that case, you'll hear it from a mile away. . When dordling around, it's not obnoxious at all.

From the inside, it didn't feel all that noisy, it felt ... just right.

I would be interested in hearing sound clips as well. Didn't realize they made a system for the CGT.

Yeah, when I had the straight pipes on my TT.....it ONLY sounded good when you were on it.....the rest of the time it sounded like I had accidentally ripped the muffler off.....

well what's interesting is turbo cars w/ straight pipes are usually quieter then their NA/SC'd counterparts.
