Interesting that they opted to remove the engine lid and rear fenders. None of that is necessary to drop the engine.

About a year ago, there was a CGT at my local dealership all torn apart just like this one was. Why? To install the Escort SRX! These things are built so tightly that the local installer couldn't install the wiring easily. The dealership ended up having to take the whole car apart just so the SRX components could be installed. Unbelievable and probably $$$ too. These cars are very well built from what I saw. I took a ton of pictures but unfortunately I was asked not to post them online.

But Jonathan is right, it was like being a kid in a candy store seeing all the beautiful innards all brought out into the open!

I agree.. a CGT is like a fine wine or a beautiful woman, dissecting it takes away from it's unmolested mystique. But great to look at...
