GT3 quality ride?

Next week I'm gonna buy a 997 GT3 but my big question is about the quality ride! now I have a 997 Carrera S....the GT3 is very unconfortable as the old one or it has the same quality ride as a 997 Carrera S? that's my big question!

Thx.!!!!

The ride quaility in the 997GT3 is better than the 996GT3. It's difficult to quantify how much better, but I test drove a 996GT3 and quickly concluded it would not work out as a daily driver for me. I assume test driving one is not an option for you since you're having to ask this forum vs. simply determining for yourself.

The 997GT3 has worked out well as a daily driver for me so far (I'm on two weeks now). I love the car and it's everything I hoped it would be and more. The ride quailty is acceptable as a daily driver but it's not a comfort car -- I knew that going into it and that's OK because it's what I wanted. Whether you like the ride quality or not will depend on largely on you. My wife likes the car, but she's commented several times on the rough ride and our roads are pretty good.

Good luck deciding.

The GT3's ride quality with PSM set in comfort mode is firmer than the 997S's comfort setting, but it is not as firm as the S's sport setting (in my opinion). The GT3 in sport mode is very firm.

In comfort mode, the 997 GT3 rides significantly better than the 996 GT3. In general, the GT3 rides firmly but it is not overly harsh. It does not bang over bumps as much as the 996 cars.

The ride height is low, however, so you must take care when driving up inclines or on bad roads. I hope this helps.

The car is really designed for the track so take it from there.

The new 997 GT3 ride is exceptional. Better than the 996 GT3. It's still firm in the softest mode of the PASM. It is a very track oriented car and that type of performance.
So as an owner of such a car you must know what you're getting into. I f you worry about ride stiffness this may not be for you, but only you really know.
Personally I love the stiffness and I even seek more structural rigidity by getting the Porsche rollbars and the Cup car suspension joints.
This a targeted track weapon and it's a blast.

Good luck,

GT3 ride

Its in between the two. Still rough for the road if you are looking for road ride comfort. The bumps will beat you. On the track awesome but not stiff enough at 8/10 and up.... Its considerably lower than the S so getting in and out of graded driveways/parking lots is something that is always on your mind. That being said, its the best porsche Ive ever owned!

i use my 7 gt3 every day and do about 10 track days/yr. about 12k miles/yr total. the ride is firm on the street but still reasonable.

i think it would be much better if there was a 3rd psam setting that was for 'comfort' in addition to current 'sport' and 'track' settings. and while theyre at it why not add a 3rd setting to the tc that would add stability control for bad weather? those would both be much more useful than the silly sport button

what could the downside possibly be? people that dont like it can just leave it off.
