Using Ruf's and other owners advice I have been doing pretty good with the clutch as well. And it takes getting used to the idea of not giving gas while letting out the clutch but that auto idle control really does work. I have also tried a few times giving gas while letting out the clutch, it works but it is hard to control the car usually will break the tires loose. I keep my right foot on the brake while letting out the clutch on hills as well and it works everytime.

The auto throttle does kick in and once it does, you do take off normally.

im one of these guys my mom would always complain "what do i have to do, tell you things 3 times?" i mean am i mistaken but arent all 3 "tell you 3 time" guys? maybe its just me.

SG,

Your procedure is correct. I would not recommend giving full throttle. You don't have to. In fact, you don't have to give any gas and it won't stall - at least mine hasn't.

Tilton clutches are great. I've never had the luxury to drive one in a Carrera GT, but we install them in the Supras/EVO's. Takes abuse like no other.

You get up to speed so quickly, it can be deceiving....next thing you know you are running up to traffic fast...get used to people camping out in your blind spot having a good look !!! As they look, their car starts to drift over so you have to drift as well !

Once you master the clutch, the rest is grin inducing fun.
Ditto what Ruf says. I REALLY suggest practicing your starts somewhere isolated as the gawkers will be ALL over the car. It's like paparazzi following a celeb. A couple of other things to be aware of:

the car is wide - and the doors/door sills are really thick. Not really a driving issue but make sure there's enough clearance when parking. Width and distance from the outside edge of the car makes parallel parking challenging.

the power is crazy. Speed builds soooo fast - make sure you have plenty of room and ease into it in the beginning. I'm still scared of mine and won't come close to the limits for a long time.

driving - at least for me - takes complete attention. Leave a/c adjustments, etc. til stopped.

don't bother trying to look out the back to the right. Not much visibility through the roll hoops.

the car is reeeeeeally low which you already know. Take dips slowly and if you can at a steep angle, let the chassis adjust to the dip and then you'll be ok.

Enjoy.
