I'd love to see what a rebuilt GT looks like.

Is the owner a member on the 6?

But yea, this is the most daring thing i have ever seen in my life.
As far as I know, you just keep pulling off pieces until you get past the damage.

I happened to be there a year and a half or so ago and a fellow pulled in with the top off and a cigar in hand. That was the first time for me to see a CGT in the flesh and to hear him take off.

Yeah ...... same car.

I know of a Basalt Black here in Indy thats been born again after a huge wreck

almost good as new, gap between the body and wing is a tad off and some scuffing on the air box from the mesh engine cover is all Ive noticed.
Small price to pay for a CGT

looks like i'm not the only one who browses ridesafely.com....

If it actually sold for 203k i think someone got jipped. Unless they are going to part it out and sell everything I can't imagine the rebuild cost being less than picking up a clean one for around 350k.

You part out the kid to help pay for the damage. I wonder what a set of ***** goes for on the black market? Because if that was my car, those would be the first to be removed.

I am amazed that the owner allowed an 18yr old to detail his car in the first place. I would not feel comfortable with someone so young detailing my car. ESPECIALLY when I am not around.

The owner is probably one of the most generous car guys I've ever known. He has no problem sharing the things he has been fortunate to afford himself. Unfortunately something like this happened and it does put a damper on it. But as I said earlier in this thread he has another Carrera GT in white and he's on the lookout for a low miles seal gray car to replace the yellow one.

This looks ready like a great donor for a Cayman motor swap!

Did anyone else see the grey CGT they have as well? Sad to see it on there.
