with all do respect to porsches and porsche owners, but you just moved to what is known as "exotic cars"... don't even look back... I sold my 997 C2S Cab. with 2,000 miles on it, and ordered a 430 Scuderia... those of us who graduated from the porsche bug call it moving to the "dark side of the force"! hehehehe

Gallardo Spyder

You keep posting how this dealer would not sell you a GT2...get over it...
enjoy your new Gallardo I'd rather have it anyway.

Besides, living in MB and you in RB our homes will drop in the next two years as much as you paid for your Spyder. The Porsche business will be way down by then and they will beg you Rob to buy from them!!!

You made the right choice, what a beauty.

So if the dealer is an A-hole for selling the car over MSRP, I guess that would make a private individual selling a GT2 or GT3RS and A-hole too. Or is it that a private seller can sell a vehicle at market price but a dealer can not. Why is the dealer held to a higher ethical standard than a private seller?

By the way MSRP stands for:

Manufactuers SUGGESTED Retail Price.

If the market commands a premium I SUGGEST you take advantage of that.

Agreed. When last did you see any private guys selling their GT3 RS at MSRP or below? Are they *******s too for asking $10-50K over? Its just a limited supply game. Ferrari plays that game way worse than Porsche. Only those who literally buy multiple cars per year and sell them back to the dealer at below wholesale get new ones at MSRP (generally speaking). Either way the dealer makes their money.

The cars that go over MSRP are generally the ones that everyone really wants Duh..

Nope, the customer is the ******* for doing business that way. The dealer will do whatever the market commands. Remember up until the 360 Ferrari was nothing to speak of. Plus the 550-575 series were complete dogs, and there re-sale value reflects that. Why the 599 is so hot after the 575 being so not is beyond me.

Look at is this way. If you want to be a total ******* pay $250K over for a RR Drophead.

I have no intention of selling them at over MSRP. I never sold a Z06 over MSRP either. But for you, 80K over sound fair?
