My Beloved 997 GT3 Is Gone!

Very nice! As you can see I'm a bit biased!
I assume you've driven it in "race" mode and stepped on it a bit? It really shows Ferrari's heritage when you start to push the car!

Congrats again, Vince.
Loved your 997 a lot, but of course the 360CS even more. Enjoy it in the best of health.
Oh, and hey, maybe keep this one long enough for me to steal a stare at a local meet.
Must have been a wild drive up from OR. I enjoy I-5 in the lower WA exits.

Vince - You bet. School is okay, still plugging away. It's going pretty darn well now though, thanks to break. 5 years and I'll hopefully join the game here.

I have a recomendation for you that will significantly improve the power of the Stradale. Install HyperFlo Cats ! We did some testing on them and our dyno sheet is on their web site. Also we pulled the exhaust manifolds and removed the pre-cat brick out of the collector. It took a talented fabricator to do it but the results were impressive. I track my Stradale and run slicks. The mid range was so much stronger I never used 2nd gear again at Calif. Speedway. The car pulled out of the corners like a 430. In fact it's faster than a 430 straight line drag race. Removing the pre cats did not effect the smog test. The 1999 360's didn't have pre cats. I have an extra set of manifolds ready to be modified if your interested. I picked them up from a Challenge Team who got a new motor with the stock manifolds on instead of the race set up without the pre-cats. The torque in the mid range where you use it on the street is great. Steve

No sound clip. I run Capristo Stage III muffler. I don't like the sound of the stock muffler. Capristo had deeper sound. It's louder with the cat but not much. Getting the Ceramic Brick 4" thick out of the collector made a big difference in the engine dynamics. It made it a little louder but you could feel the engine was relieved not having an obstacle right a the critical area of the headers. Get's the rev's quicker so you find yourself flipping shifts much faster. That engine was not designed for those roadblocks in the exhaust. I would say the sound level was not a problem inside or outside the car. You want a real Ferrari Motor ? get that crap out of the way and hear what a Ferrari should sound like. When we have many Stradales running at the track you hear the difference and you see the difference with my car passing all the other Stradales with ease on the straights ! I ecomend the Capristo over stock and Tubi. I've run them both including the NGT Tubi.

I thought long and hard about it...
After the buzz wears off I wonder if it will feel faster than the GT3..
I think the GT3 feels faster in the mid range, but that car is a blast to drive.
Good luck...
