Can you supercharge a GT3?

as you can see, they had to change internals to lower compression-- theoretically you can run a supercharger without intercoolers/cooling but the gains won't be as big (hotter air temp)...

Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: You'll need to roll your own system and pick an option of either running very little boost, lowering the static engine compression slightly, or going to a turbo engine all together.
I'd say go for it if you really want to. Pissing off purists is an excellent passtime.

Yes, you can supercharge a GT3 or any other internal combustion engine you want. It makes for a very responsive engine. However, I am not aware of any in the market place so you would have to cutomize one.

you cannot use the evo sc kit for the any gt3. the engine case is the same as the turbo case. the 3.4, 3.6 and 3.8 use a totally different design. the only way to do this is to make a totally custom kit which would cost alot.

If you are looking for more power out of a 996 GT3, you can do what I did to my car(headers, cats, mufflers & software and gain an extra 25+ hp). You could also look at doing an Evo 3.8 kit on it like I was planning on doing for additional power and still keep the GT3 soul intact.

I'm having trouble understanding why the "soul" of the car would be lost with forced induction. I loved my '6 GT3 (especially when whipping around Barber Motorsports Park in the solo group on a sunny day), but it didn't exactly blow me away with power delivery. Why couldn't one have BOTH exquisite balance, feel, and driving pleasure AND stupid horsepower??
BTW, GT3 + FI != GT2. The GT2 is a softer car, meant to be a street car. It's something a wealthy 50-something year-old won't complain about driving his trophy wife around in. A GT3 is much more focused and hardcore from a handling/suspension perspective.
