I was talking to the official importer of Porsches here in my country. a new GT2 will cost approximately $US 350,000
a new Turbo costs $US 275,000

Yeah I agree, it is quite expensive. Not to mention the gas which currently goes for (Premium) 1.43 Euro / Liter ==> 1.43 Euro * 3.78 == 5.41 Euro * 1.46 == $7.90 a gallon.
However more and more European Car Manufacturers thinking about building plants here in the US. The first one is VW (ready by 2009). BMW, Mercedes and Audi are thinking about it right now (just a red an article about it a few days ago on a german news site).
