Looking at a local GT3, what should I watch out for?
I'm going to be in the market for something different and while I would love a 997 GT3, I found a 996GT3 with 11k miles available to me locally. The car is tracked once in awhile and the previous owner is known to be pretty hard on his machines. I'm just wondering if, knowing this, I should just pass. I'm still not ruling out a 997 GT3 (I have one in particular in mind if the 996 doesnt do it for me) but, since this 996 GT3 is local (and there's not many about), I figured it might be worth a look. TIA

Get a pre purchase inspection from the the dealer and ask for a printed Vehicle Analysis Log. This will give the rundown on all the engine over revs. After viewing that you can make a informed decision.
