The weather was so ****ty man. I didn't see Anthony or anyone really, plus my buddy was rushing me. I was hoping to bump into you and take a look at your car, but that rain was killer.

The Bilsteins are giving me a headache right now. They're sending a "PASM failure" message to my car, and reverting to the "sport" setting, which I don't mind every once in awhile, but when its on all the time, man... my back hurts! The ride is really harsh, especially at the height my car is at.

Eric has been on the phone with Mike at AWE and the guys at Bilstein, trying to get to the bottom of it. I have full confidence that he'll get it fixed (he always comes through).

I just needed my car back tonight so I can bring it to Sam at Premier tomorrow. My clearbra started peeling at the bottom a little and I made a scratch on it (too much fast driving). I'll probably drop the car back off early next week.

I'll probably catch you there next time, or we can set it up so we drive out to Santana Row one day.

Cool.

Say hi to Sammy for me. I'll be seeing him soon. A mud flap hit my front bumper and rolled up the hood. Oh well. At least the clear bra did what it was supposed to. Saved my paint.

That GT3RS sure is sweet. Stealthy for an RS.

Hey, btw, Ken Pardini has an available 997 GT2 in allotment for configuration by a customer. Up for grabs.

I agree. I wasn't sure what it was when I first saw it, since its missing the decals! But the carbon wing is really unmistakable! I can see why many wanted to switch to that wing versus the regular GT3 wing. I didn't like it at first, but now I think its the best spoiler for the car!

White RS

When I ordered my car, I wasn't sure how white would look in person, but when I saw my car for the first time I was glad I ordered a white/black wheel car. Niello still has an 08 white, I think $60K over or $198K, has silver wheels. They have had the car for some time, but they paid $168K for the car from Stevens Creek. I included a good picture of my car, compared to the picture of the Stead car.

White is so perfect for the RS. I can't believe Porsche didn't have it as an option at first! Congrats indeed.

I agree, Stevens Creek offered me an RS allocation at MSRP but when the allocation was confirmed, the offer increased to MSRP plus $50K and I bought an 04 GT3 and 05 Cayenne S from them. I moved my business to Porsche of Fremont, got the RS at MSRP plus a C2 for my wife. Sales manager at Fremont great guy to deal with, he was at Stevens Creek when I bought the other cars.

White Option

Actually White was an option on the RS from the first day. The change, when I ordered my car early in production, was that you could not get decals, dev mirrors, dev wheels, dev wing plates. But white was always an option.

Sorry for the crappy iPhone pic. What can I say?

thanks for posting.

this is the second 2008 GT3 RS currently listed for sale where the window sticker says "wheels painted silver" and then the car has black wheels. the white one at South Shore Porsche in NY is the other one.

I emailed South Shore Porsche, asking why the window sticker of the car they are selling says silver wheels, yet the picture on their web site shows black wheels, and the reply was

“Yes it is Brand New, The Trucker put on the showroom floor. The wheels are Black.”

The way these 320 or so cars are trading hands, it could be an episode of "as the world turns". Some of them have gone thru 5 owners and still have less than 300 miles on the odometer.

another piece of the puzzle! thanks!

back in October:
“The car is being offered at MSRP plus $90,000.”

Stevens Creek was asking $228,900 back in October
