If you could only afford one, and could get it at MSRP, would you get a Scuderia or a GT2? Yes, I know I'm asking "Porsche or Ferrari" on a Porsche board...
Base price on a Scuderia, by the way, is $262,306.00 out the door... ($257,456.00 base price, $3,000.00 gaz guzzler, $350 dealer prep, $1,500 delivery...)

Look at your collection, you should get one at LIST for sure! That's where they are doing long term members dirty, and in return it leaves a horrid taste in the true enthusiasts mouth..

thanks for the feedback. it confirms what i've been hearing which is $50-$75K over. i'm on list to get one this spring for $10K over sticker however I bought a GT3 RS also to get this price. I'm glad i did. What a great car! Considering the limited number coming to the US, I'm hopeful it will retain it's value for a year or two.

[quote] You mean kinda like how the GT3-RS is selling under MSRP?
Give the RS a little more time and it will be there too!
As for the 996 GT2 I didn't have to wait that long for the 50k discount, only about 1 year in my case and that was brand new off the showroom floor in 2002. I was reading in this thread the 996 GT2's are only worth 100k and my msrp was 196k, so thats about a 1/2 price in 6 years. Yeah I think I would pay that premium for new GT2! NOT!

the car will be a BEAST!!! They'll be very limited production here ...170 or so ...Cars been getting incredible reviews as best ever and fastest (even over the GT)...Dont think you can compare this to the past sales history...this car will bring in new buyers .....this car will command a premium for 2 years or so...I can get a Scud from my dealer at 100k over...

Sorry guys, and I am probably biased but I don't see the value holding for even six months. The last GT-2 held it's value for about a week, the final ones were a tough sell at sticker. Like it or not the cup car based models, GT-3 and RS will always do better because of the link to racing. Just one man's opinion.

JUST MY OPINION but,
It will not hold its value like and RS. I HOPE I AM WORNG but I seriously doubt it. $100K over?!?!?!?! No FN way.
Any dealer that has them available(FYI) has it that way becasue they plan on selling it for way more. They would be all sold easily.
As far as our dealership ALWAYS MSRP!!!!!!!!! NEVER OVER!!!!!!!!
Unless we got a used one like right now : )
And of course the 2 we are getting are both very very sold!
