Someone Hit my GT3!!

Ive had problems with this dealership ever since i owned a porsche and everyone i know has suffered with them, the service center is the worst ever ... ive had my TT for about 8 months now and its been to the service center about 6 times already if not more. They will not finish any work or do anything unless u keep pushing for things and making a big fuss about it ... dont speak with the small fry bcoz they wont do anything go straight to the top dogs, and argue with them. pressure them, dont be easy bcoz they dont give in very easily. Contact Porsche Middle East and file a complaint ... email them on aftersales@porsche-me.ae and explain to them the whole situation and how the dealership handled the situation. and when speaking to the dealership tell them u are notifying porsche ME (it adds to the pressure) ... they really need to sort out their service center because its really bad. its over capacity.

I think a getting a new car is completely unreasonable and will never happen. As mentioned here getting diminished value alone is extremely hard.
What I would do is take it to a different body shop. But like K24 said, there can definately be a lot of messaging done to make filler use as little as possible.

Wow soooo sorry to hear about your situation but as they say you are between a rock and hard place here.......
I'm reading what everyone is saying and although I agree with what everyone says to not settle for anything less, we live in a less than perfect world so I don't think the dealer will buy the car back (in our dreams maybe)!
I've been on the short end of the stick b4 but certainly not with something so expensive so I would just be polite but firm with the dealer. Getting rude and offensive will lead you nowhere and lawsuits are expensive and most likely won't get you where you need to be anyways.
gosh I'm going to be 110% more careful who I give the keys to at the dealer!

Me too
I had a similar situation with my wife's Mercedes where the dealer hit a concrete post head-on in the parking lot. Damage to bumper and hood requiring their replacement and total of ~$5,000 repair.
My lawyer said their only legal obligation was for the dealer to repair the car. My insurance said the same. Diminished value was a waste of time (California).
Ultimately they paid for (1) all of the orignial service (about $1100) that I brought the car in for, (2) repair of the damage at body shop of my choice (actually their choice as well), (3) a 3-year extended warranty and (4) car rental for >1 month while I decided my course of action and waited for repair.
The repair was flawless.
The service guy was fired shortly thereafter--not sure if related event.

That really sucks...
I wouldn't settle for anything less than a settlement that included diminsihed value or a written guarantee that the dealership will buy the car from you upon eventual trade-in at the then full trade in value plus a nice discount off MSRP.

I still think the RS rear 1/4 panel/fenders with an RS rear bumper cover is the route you should go! Turn this incident into another reason to modify it.
Like I said, my offer still stands for the RS rear bumper cover I've got available.

Don't budge yet and deffinitely take legal action if you have to and contact Porsche NA and ME. Good Luck!

Since you drive a GTO it wouldnt be that big of a deal to you. For GT3's this is a different case. This isn't a mass produced GM car with millions to go around that are SUB 50K cars.

It wouldn't matter what I was driving. Let's just simply be realistic on what his options really are. We'd all love to dream but we know what reality is. Reality is, he won't get a new car. Reality is, the dealership isn't obligated to do anything other then get the car fixed. No diminished value check, no free "work", no car replacement. YOu can ***** and whine to Porsche in any country you want....first of all they won't even care about the claim (as it's been porsches stance for some time that their dealers are independent), second....they'll explain to you that legally all they are responsible to do is repair the car.
Nice 6th post trying to dig at what someone drives

Here is the latest. I spent the whole morning dealing with this!!
One of the best high-end body shops in Dubai will handle the repair, at the guilty party's cost of course. They work on Porsches, Ferraris, Lambos and others. I have used them before for minor work and was very impressed with the quality. I visited their workshop today again, looked at some of the work that they have done and am confident they can do a very good job.
They assured me that the panel will be repaired cold, i.e. without putting a torch to it or using an electric arc. They will basically use the same method that was being used to build cars in older times and reform the panel by hand. They say it will come out to almost the original shape, which will in effect reduce the amount of filling to a few paint thicknesses worth, as K24 madness indicated above. They guarantee that it will not affect the lifetime or the quality of the panel and remain undetectable.
This is the best available option for me right now. Still talking to my insurance about a reduced value claim, but they had never even heard the term!!!!

That's really not surprising, i've come to determine that diminished value is really one of those "myths" people talk about. Everyone says how easy it is to get, and that they always request it. But i've maybe talked to 2 or 3 people who have actually pulled it off.
