I finally saw the other 993 turbo S in the philippines. My friends dad used to own the other one which was yellow. I think it was sold to a foreign buyer so it was shipped out of the country. btw Great cars hesperus!

Here's a quick vid...
This car sounds like a JET!
That's the best way to explain it... it doesn't sound as nice as a CGT, or a GT3 with a nice exhaust, or a Gallardo/Murcie/Ferrari... but it IS a very distinctive and menacing sound!
i was hoping that the video would capture the backfire it made just as it whizzed past, but it was loud enough that it overloaded the mic on my phone camera, and all you get is this air pressure "popping" sound
anyway, crappy video... but for what its worth, thought i'd post it anyway, since GT2 sightings are still pretty rare

ALTHOUGH, my RUF 590 exhaust and with their turbo's, it almost sounds NA, all depends on the setup!

997 GT3
That's right, only two ever entered the country, and the 2nd one which was yellow as you rightly pointed out, was sold to someone overseas.
There also used to be a lone Ferrari F50 which was similarly sold to someone in Texas I believe.
Some OT trivia, the guy that used to own the F50 owns one of the original Lancia Delta S4 Gruppe B rally monsters! My friend saw it in the owner's garage! I have a picture of it that he took, but its lost somewhere on my hard drive...

the Ruf's aero kit may look prettier to the eye, but the recent Sport Auto test shows that the GT2 has better aerodynamics. I can't recall the numbers, but while the RT12 has some lift at the front at high speed, the GT2 actually generates some downforce. Aside from the GT2's lighter weight, and street biased suspension on the RT12, its probably the GT2's aero advantage that allowed it to beat the Ruf's Nurburgring laptime, despite the large power deficit.
