Is it worth buying a GT3 / RS?
Is it worth buyng at GT3 or GT3 RS? As far as resale value goes.
I was thinking of buying a GT3 rather than a used F360. Drive the GT3 for a year maybe 2 yrs. (at most) and sell it. I know the car will depreciate but what I can't predict is how much?
If I can drive the GT3 for two years (maybe put $20k miles), and take $25k hit from original price I purchased, I'm happy.

I heard from many F360 is not a great car compared to the GT3, reason I'm thinking twice and asking for advice from this forum. In regards to which car will take a bigger hit in the end, regardless used or new?

Here is the F360 I'm thinking of buying. I was looking for white coupe, but this color looks great and very close to my home. So I was able to test drive and see the condition - perfect in all areas.
2002 F360 w/3,900miles asking $138k.
Is that good deal?

Most drivers will never realize the full driving potential of a GT3 and much less and RS. Will it hold its value better? Yes. So buy what you want!

In the US (relatively to Europe), Ferraris are so overpriced and Porsches so cheap that I don't even understand how one could consider a used '02 360 for 138K$, let alone a garage queen which has done 800 miles a year in average, furtherless against a GT3. I know that's what the market is here, it just blows me. Disclaimer: I have 2 Ferraris, I am not on a Ferrari-bashing, Porsche-praising rant.
Then it depends what you want to do with it.
For track use, a 360 is a league behind a GT3 in terms of performance potential, homogeneity and robustness. For road use, the 360 will probably get a light edge in terms of sheer fun factor and sense of occasion.

Trace my point is you cant but a NEW GT3 anymore can you?? so you would be 2nd owner of the GT3 . the 997 GT3 is superior to the Fcar. I would go that way if you
cant have both.
cant have both.

I do not mean this in a bad way, but if you worry about resale value and depreciation, then you should not buy a GT3. This is a car you buy because you want to drive it, not because it makes financial sense.

No. The car is 6 years old and has done less than 4000 miles. Thats 600-700 miles per year! It may be cosmetically perfect however you may be concerned mechanically about a garage queen. Obviously a PPI and a full maor at a minimum. I'd say $125K ish for a 2002 at most. IMHO.

+1, buy it cause you love the car not cause of resale
