I've seen that a bunch of times, but BOY I would like a translation. For instance, why did they pull over the Golf in the end?

Have lived many years in Holland so here's a summary translation:
The Gt3 was stolen and the car thief crashed it trying to get away from the police, his companions in the golf picked him up and he hid in the back seat, that is why they pulled the golf over in the end.
The speaker makes some ironic remarks about the thief driving a superior car but when the police has radio contact there's no point in trying to escape, especially when the cops tactic is to block the highway and the exits so that the thiefs get stuck in the traffic jam
