I whined and *****ed and threw a temper tantrum about the sunroof. I jumped up and down and held my wifes breasts till my face turned red. Some one told me I am getting a sunroof in my GT3 whether I liked it or not and I put my fingers in my ears and sang "LA-LA-LA-LA-LALA-LA-LA..........LALA, I dont hear you LA LA LA LALA!"
Now that I have had the car a year I dont even notice it unless like today its a beautiful spring day and I had to go to Home Depot (8 times to fix sprinklers). I cracked it open and went the long way through the streets with the brick walls to hear the SHARKWERKS BYPASS!!!!!!!! I realize how silly I was except for the holding my wifes breasts part. For my skill level there is no reason to not have or have a sunroof. But its a nice to have on a day like today. On a track day no biggie. In fact the sunroof seems to add an inch or 2 to the head room. Probably an illusion.
but its a non issue. really

I would have gone without one if I had the choice, but I do enjoy tilting it open to listen to the exhaust note instead of the radio.

Wow I just thought it was me. When ever I buy a new toy I have to hold my wife's breasts too.

LOL us nuts went through it, hell I even found a 996TT without a sunroof, sucks that it wasn't even an OPTION for the GT3

- btw holding your own wife's breasts may had 1 or 2 inches to the head but doesn't do much for head room in the car.

With the purpose of the car being a track car it shouldn’t have the sunroof or at least it should have the option to delete the sunroof.

And the only reason you can’t delete it is a marketing reason. How would it look if the “light weight” RS weighed more that the GT3?

The Sunroof is an option in the ROW GT3 so that can't be it. Might have something to do with some archaic regulation unique to the North American market.

ROW also gets light weight glass, seats etc. Just a numbers game for marketing...

+1.

ROW people still buys RS over GT3 so I don't see their marking point of view.
