As promised -- some quick pics of the interior -- forgot to get a pic of the SRX install in the ashtray but that is not all that important.

996 Cup steering wheel with quick release -- please note that my wife got this as a present for me... the "Porsche" version, easily noticed by the red "Porsche" script on the 3 oclock spoke of the wheel... costs way more than that the statndard MOMO that does not say Porsche on the spoke... total waste of money... but I like it

Seats -- Recaro Profi XL SPG in leather with blue stitching -- I am 6'3" and to get clearance for my helmet, I take out the seat bottom cushions. In normal street driving, no helmet, cushions in -- no proplem.

Custom bar -- 6 point bolt in -- hard to photograph

Thanks for posting the pics!! I noticed the different steering wheel from the first "after" pics and wondered if it was the Cup version. What do you do for a horn these days?

In this picture right above the windshield wiper stalk (on the right) you will see a "wing up/down" rocker switch -- that is really the stealth horn button... I ran without it for a while... then a truck merged into me/my lane and I had nothing but brakes.... so I picked the top blank switch and asked the dealer to wire it for me...

Escort SRX radar (detector) and laser (detector/jammer) device.

I mounted all of the controls in the ashtray -- simply open ashtray and there is an l.e.d. (green=all good, red = getting hit), mute button (turns off jammers for 30 secs and mutes sound) and a power switch.

What you see in the picture is the units display which allows me to program the unit and set the volume. In hindsight I would have had that mounted in the glovebox and done the center console delete... but it does not bother me too much.

That's a Manthey Wing? Hey PJ, never noticed you had Cruise Control! Doesn't that add some weight?

yes -- manthey wing and mirrors... RIP sweet CF manthey splitter

Duber -- cruise control sucks as I hate having the extra stalk coming off the steering column... that is one option I wish I did not have...

christianferrar is infamous around these parts
That is very very nice. I am thinking about picking up a GT3 track toy to leave in europe when I am back home (italia). This looks like you did a great job.

I have spoken to Bill about some dymags for one of my CA cars, you should look at grabbing some. I hear that some are seeing 20+ hp from them!

I need a sponsor now... married with kid working guy and I have no more "safety mods" that I can get by the wife...

Dymags are what $$$$???? they must be at least $7-8K for a set or more...

I would take some Fikses and put the left over money into a custom exhaust... loud pipes save lives... maybe that could be the safety mod motto around my house for the rest of the year!

Thanks MiniD, I really like it! You should pre buy one in case you ever get a 996 GT3
Performancewise it offers way better "feel" than the stock three spoke
the diameter is smaller which I like but that is just a personal preference
I love the quick release as well... my fat *** with helmet and hans device on... very difficult to get into the car... so having the extra room with the wheel out of the way is nice. I guess it is a theft deterrent as well... but I leave the wheel on the passenger seat when not in use... so maybe not so much...
