I've only been able to get 7.7. I think our crappy 91 octane in CA causes that. The car is rated for 93 octane. See this thread:

last time i was driving on that section of the road the most concern was the cop. well, back in the CC days... to be honest i wouldn't ''play'' with a Turbo there.

BTW, I see robertp posted a 60 to 130 of 10.13 seconds. If that's correct for his car, the CGT would have been many car lengths ahead even in that short race. 60-100 in robertp's car is probably around 5 seconds. The CGT is closer to 3 seconds!

Street racing with strangers proves nothing because you never know if the other driver was racing or even prepared to race. The 60 to 130 postings are the best way to compare cars. I just get bothered by people who make huge claims that have no meaning at all:

"He has a very nice car. After I gave him a 1 car length lead and pulled him through third, he was done."
BINGO!

One can see the CGT owner wisely moving away from this yellow car.

Well said fellows!!

Robert, I think you need to buy a Corvette or Fast and Furious car for all your drag racing stories/kills Oh and take your stories/vids to other forums.

OK, since you are the MAN I better do as you say. Yes, I am the only one on the site who posts videos of two cars racing. My Pcar holds up just fine. Maybe you need to get a F&F car and sit on the freeway in traffic. Dream about how fast you could be going if you were not in gridlock.

He wanted to race too, or you missed that part of the video. The CGT raced two other cars before I came up next to him. Where you in that car videotaping?

Robert, I'm just trying to make a point again to you that's its the way you post your stories. Agreed everyone post vids, pics etc but I don't see anyone else talk and brag about how you beat this and that. Again you have every right to do so, but I just think you lose a lot of credibility about your posts about your car beating LP640's and CGT's just by some snippets of videos when people on these forums know cars and know that in a true race you would not be able to win.

So I do enjoy seeing all your vids and do keep posting. Just don't assume the other drivers were also pushing the car to their limits.

And regarding your comment about me getting an F&F car, I guess you don't know my background. I've done Gumball3000, have 800HP 996TT, 700HP 997TT, etc. and track my cars at Infineon and Laguna Seca. So I know what speed is all about.

I have my fun on the streets for sure, but TRUE racing/getting to know ones car happens at the tracks, not the streets.

I just hope I don't run into you on the streets to be another kill victim. My poor GT3RS couldn't take it . J/K.

I know who you are. I too raced cars & motorcycles professionally. If I seem to be boasting, I will try to tone it down. I simply like to race. 80% of my videos are pre set up races. You ran on Saturday with my friend who has the LP640. All you had to do to verify that he was hammering the main jet in these videos is just ask. Then the speculation would be put a side. Remember, just becaus one has the means to purchase a fast car does not mean they have the ***** to press on the gas or ability to shift the car.

Robert, really dude no offense, but the only way your car is going to "beat" a CGT is, driver error, driver complacency, driver indifference, or driver reluctance. A CGT honestly losing to a flashed 996tt cab is not in the realm of possibility. That's like saying that, "I pulled up to a Veyron and pulled him in 3rd." Did I beat the car? I don't think so. Get your car to run a 60 to 130 time in the 7's then maybe someone will take you seriously. Otherwise be prepared to deal with some disbelief and sarcasm when you post a thread that includes a statement that, "I gave him a 1 car lead and then pulled him in 3rd." C'mon dude, get real.

I just love to race. I will race any car, any time so long as it is safe. Any takers? Come on by and we can have some fun.

My car is flashed and I only run VP MS 109 octane gas. Should be around 510 to 520HP.

Like I said, only some drivers can get there car to approach its limits. What should I do, let him win becaus on paper he should? If I posted a race against a stock VW, would that be novel or predictable?
