Can't tell anything from the video. It seems the CGT was playing with you given the traffic and poor road... definitely not racing. That is, when he jumped you briefly, he let up. The CGT 60 to 130 is about 7.7 seconds with 2 shifts and 91 octane, so use that to compare.

Playing with me? He lost! I had the car in front of me and he had the clear lane. He moved over at the end of the race. I started in third around 55MPH and shifted into fourth at 97MPH. We hit 110MPH and then I let off due to traffic. If anything he can't drive.

BTW, you need to take the CGT up to 8400 rpm in each gear. Most driver's don't do that on the street, especially on that one.

are you kidding? you're on a car forum and don't know that?

nope, guess not. is that some kind of grease monkey gesture for 1-2-3 go?
seriously, ppl who drive exotics get tired of other people trying to race them. guess you just get use to it....

You seem infatuated with drag racing...there's more to a Porsche than that.....

My bet was the owner was annoyed or confused with the horn beeping (you can see he was startled) and then he was satisfied to stay with the 911 when it accelerated without having to downshift or by just using half-throttle. I doubt he had any intention to race on that busy road, and I'm pretty certain he didn't know what the three beeps were.
BTW, I see robertp posted a 60 to 130 of 10.13 seconds. If that's correct for his car, the CGT would have been many car lengths ahead even in that short race. 60-100 in robertp's car is probably around 5 seconds. The CGT is closer to 3 seconds!
Street racing with strangers proves nothing because you never know if the other driver was racing or even prepared to race. The 60 to 130 postings are the best way to compare cars. I just get bothered by people who make huge claims that have no meaning at all:
"He has a very nice car. After I gave him a 1 car length lead and pulled him through third, he was done."

More like bus lengths. BTW, the CGT runs a 60 - 130 in 7.3.
