993 T vs 996 GT3 MkII

I just raced a 993 T which has it's ECU upgraded. We started rolling 1st gear & we were neck to neck the whole time.

But my question is. How much does the Fuel quantity effects the car? since I had my tank totaly filled & he had 1/4 in his 993.

If your referring to fuel starvation, there shouldn't be any. The difference is in the weight carried by each car.

I am not sure about the fuel tank capacity; but guessing that both are around the 17/18 gallon size. Your filled tank weighed roughly 110lb (17.5 x 6.25); and the 993tt weighs in at roughly 28lb ((17.5x.25)x6.25).

Difference of 82lb ..

I think that you're right. But I was expecting to Beat the 993T after 140mph, but i was wrong, the 993T is still fast

Pretty tough to beat it on the street. On the track, it's a different story!
Was it Black with BBS wheels?

Nope, it's my friend's car. Silver with red interior. BTW I raced the ISF as well. The 996 GT3 is much faster.

You mean the Lexus ISF right? That car is a lightweight. The new M3 spanked it badly with the manual 6 speed. With the DCT new tranny the M3 is a little beast. Shifts are lightning.
Good job with the 996 GT3.

Well he claims that he passed E60 M5 .I said lets try the ISF vs 996 GT3. We both under estimated the 996 GT3 but I pulled from the start. After all he was happy. As you know he's a Porsche fan..
