cargraphic exhaust

cargraphic exhaust
I put an exhaust kit5 on my GT3. That kit comes with headers. Does replacing the headers violate the warranty? I know typically exhaust does not but headers seem a little more intimate to the engine.
The reason I am asking is I see some oil drips and was going to take it in to evaluate for RMS leak and did not want to get thumped.

my dealer said from the factory cat back -- warranty good
mess with the factory cat and/or forward -- no warranty
Which I think is a bunch of BS, but I understand why they take that stance...
I also think it depends largely on your "relationship" with the dealer... if you are married to the service manager's sister I am sure warranty will cover it... if you are an ***, then probably not
If you have no relationship (not bad or good) it will probably depend on the service writer's mood...
Try an unsolicted case of beer or pizza to grease the skids so to speak

I installed AWE's full exhaust system (including headers) on my 997 GT3. I was told by AWE, Sharkwerks, and my local Porsche dealer that unless a problem is caused by the components, the waranty is valid.
I am hoping I am correct. Let me know if you have heard differently..

They would be very hard pressed to prove an exhaust caused the RMS leak when many, many stock cars exhibit the RMS issue.
The RMS is so common it might as well be on the window sticker as a feature.
