Unfortunately I can not read German. Does anyone know about this company?
I would presume you would have to crate to them your motor which probably means you do not get to keep the parts from your motor that came out.
What are they asking for the 4.0L stroker conversion? What does it all include?
I have inquired about the 4.0L conversion by Cargraphic and I had to sit down! I was quoted $55,000 and you had to send your motor to them. Power claims I do not remember exactly (last summer) but I think it was 480 bhp?
They always quote crank hp.
But I wonder, right now my GT3 with the FVD headers and race exhaust, LWFW (?value?) and the GIAC software dyno'ed 392 rwhp. Considering the usual DT loss that is approx. 450 bhp. I spent $5,500 for this hp gain.
For probably a total $60K to spend to get another 30 bhp I can not see it.
Though man it must sure be nice to drive the 4.0L motor!
If someone finds out anymore information please post it.
Thank you.

GT3Ranger, fast car you got there. But dyno numbers alone do not tell the truth, would be great to take some acceleration times and compare them. The dyno figures depend on too many variables (of course so does acceleration, but in that case achieving "too good" numbers is impossible)
Anyway those stroker kits deliver great N/A performance. Another option is Koro. They have nice GT3's in Germany, http://www.koro.de/
I have seen or hear GT3's with many different kits, 4.2l, 4.6l, 4.8l, 5.0l and 5.2l etc. from their company
For example their 4.6l kit produces somewhere around 480-490hp (in 996 GT3) and costs 28,000 EUR or so.
With that kit 0-200km/h is claimed at 11.2 sec so it's fast. What's even better a German magazine tested their S model at 10.9 sec the time of 0-200km/h. And the 500hp version achieves 10.5 sec the 0-200 kmh/h, no specific data for the new models though.
The tested 4.6 S model is a street registered 996 GT3 weighting only 1195kg!! Back then it was the fastest 996 Porsche in many tracks, and I'm sure it can still give a good run without against special-widebody Edo and Manthey cars)
By the way their top-of-the-line kits are 5.0l at 540hp and 5.2l at 612hp!
This is just an example for the forum people that (unfortunately) there is still a lot of life and action outside the internet. So you might understand that sometimes at some track/Autobahn meetings people smile a bit when some guys are claiming here in the 'net owning "world's fastest" 996/997/Turbo/GT3/GT2... or something

Kaizu those are some serious numbers you are talking about there. Both hp and performance times.
I do not mean to imply that my GT3 is fast or anything like that. It's nothing special, just a routine piece of ****.
I have never heard of this company Koros but they sure sound impressive.
How do they compare with Cargraphic in your expeience?
I only mentioned my car while making a comparison analysis with power gains and dollars spent. The old expression, "bang for the buck"
I will have my guys at Champion Motorsport checkout the Koros outfit.
Thank you,
GT3Ranger

5.2L out of the 3.6 block? That's quite alot of cubes for a small block... with only 6 cylinders to displace all that as well. I don't have that much knowledge (but I am learning alot) on the dry-sump boxer, but 5.2L sounds like huge stroke and big bore (very thin cylinder walls), which would make the engine not as stable at 8000 rpm, assuming that it redlines similar to stock.
Experts correct me if I'm wrong.
Anyhow, that would be a wicked sounding beast.

Get ready for pricing that is beyond the realm of human understanding.
Manthey has great products but they break the bank.
They do a considerable amount of R&D and testing.

you would need to lower the compression. and some people prefer NA power

Manthey is to high end track-focused Porsches, as Ruf is to high end street-focused Porsches...
