Videos from Mosport in a 997 GT3

Was out at Mosport Raceway in Ontario this weekend. It was my first time at this daunting and scary track, made scarier by the weather. It was 2C-11C throughout the day with light rain coming and going.

The video is of my second session with the instructor (Joe Chan from Motul Canada):

Hi-res version (31mb): www.fcracer.com/videos/mosport-lap.mov

Enjoy!

It's a cheap camera from www.goprocamera.com The settings I used were low sound and used the case that came with it along with the suction cup. I had to increase the sound on the rendering by 100% so I think using High sound while recording would work better. The case isolates the wind noise pretty well as both windows are down in that video.

I don't think I had the adjustments tight enough which is why it's moving a bit. For the last session, I tightened it more, but it didn't record because it ran out of room (max is 2gb SD card that holds 56mins).

We had 2.5hrs of on-track time so I only got the first half of my day. I'm now going to try the AIPTEK HD camera from Wal-Mart. It's arriving next week.
