My first GT3 road trip
Now that the weather is turning nice up here in the Seattle area, I took my first road trip in the GT3 and drove the first leg of the North Cascades Highway. I’ve had the car for about 6 months now and it’s been my daily driver (about 6k miles so far) and I have been loving it more and more each day, but this latest drive allowed me to stretch the car’s legs and it was nothing short of a religious experience. I’ve had my fair share of cars but nothing else I’ve driven even comes close to the connectedness and symphony of sounds provided by the GT3. My hat’s off to Porsche -- they got it right with this car. It’s a perfect blend of comfort and performance, and an overall fantastic road car.

Great drive indeed; you'll have to make it out for some more drives with the gang this summer.
I was going to say "gunmetal wheels look nice" until I looked at the rear.
Any more pictures?

A road trip w/ other Porsche owners sounds like fun. Please keep me in mind if one gets organized. Also, I'd love to take the car to PIR for a lapping day (I'm not going to push the car at Pacific Raceways and therefor not waste my time and money), but it would need to be a private or Kitch-like day because the club events have too much traffic. Anybody know of anything? I've been driving since '99 and have 7 years of racing under my belt so I promise not to be too slow.

"Should have gotten PCCB."

LoL. I couldn't stomach the idea of a $10 rotor replacement cost. They probably do last a long, long time but they're not impervious to damage. Having said that, there's a good article in the recent issue of Total 911 that compares the 996 Mk1 GT3, 996 Mk2 GT3, and 997 GT3 and I have to admit the PCCBs on the 997 are pretty damn appealing.
