Okay, done reading all tire related posts and I've decided between PS2 & RE050A. It'll be mainly for street & highway, no tracks; 90/10 dry/wet condition (hardly rain in SoCal). Questions:

1. A set of RE050A is about $550 cheaper than PS2. Is PS2 really $550 better?

2. RE050A is rated N0 & PS2 is rated N1 by Porsche. What's the difference between N0 v. N1? The manual recommends N0 rating.

3. Does PS2 last longer than RE050A?

4. RE050A Scuderia is the OE for Scud? If it's good for Scud, then RE050A N0 should be good for us?

5. What about this new player, RE-11? (Only W rated...)

Thank you all!

The RE -11 is a new tire by Bridgestone and is supposed to be fantastic, for a street stock class. It's softer than the other 2 your considering. The RE050A would be my choice. I've had both the PS2 and the RE050A and the REs lasted longer and were just as good and you save enough $$ to spend it on something else you need.

How do the RE-11's compare to the PS Cup tires? Wear/grip/wet?

Ok guys.....wow, tech-nic-al. Kinda love the way you guys take all this stuff so seriously buy hey... I love it!!! Over the pond here the forums are not quite so "heavy" but I always find myself clicking on this forum or rennlist (almost same posts)

Had 4 sets of MPSC's and I love them, cost here in UK is anything from £1100 to £1380 for x4.

With the tread being about 5mm on these I've had a couple of scarey aquaplaning moments but I'm hearing what you guys are saying, basically it's this:

MSPC, REO50A OR R888 for track......

PS2 for track/road use mix....???

Often overlooked when selecting a tire is to check how much they weigh. Weight rotating at wheel speed is equivalent to adding or taking off 3x the weight in terms of acceleration, etc. Check out the weight difference of the Michelin Cups vs. the Bridgestone RE11, you may be surprised.
