A little foresight, which gm/ford have complete devisions dedicated to researching this, could have seen the coming trend years ago.
I seriously doubt that Ford or Chevy saw this economic trend coming. I seriously doubt that. If that was true they wouldnt get stuck out time again and again with the wrong vehicles in the wrong market at the wrong time.
I dont think any auto maker saw this coming.
