MOVIT Carbon Ceramic brakes in a GT3 RS

An exclusive alternative to PCCB's... =)

This car has Dymag wheels as well. The tires are no less than 265 wide front and 325 wide back (Pilot Sport Cups).

Calipers painted to match the car!

Plus some other track pics from our same Carfreaks track event in Finland:

Nice brakes...inquired about them for my non-PCCB RS and they are crazy expensive....like 30k! Much more expensive than even retrofitting PCCBs. I've also read somewhere that although the rotors are obviously very light, the Movit calipers aren't as light as say Brembo GTRs. Very cool looking brakes though. Here they are on a 997:

Wow, I remember this company from years ago. Completely forgot about them and didn't know they were still around. Great brakes for sure, but like someone said very very pricey.

I have looked into Mov It brakes and they are not 30K. I priced them out at about the same price as PCCB's. Plus the US distributor really wants to get this going here and wants to make deals. The Mov It system make the PCCB's braking system look like toys. Far superior quality and design to PCCB. Plus they are ceramic all the way through.

I was told 29k for the whole kit by the US distributor. That ballpark number was given to me about two months ago. Don't know if this has changed. Some time ago they were in fact less expensive, but according to the distributor, they have gone up in price because the company that makes the rotors is also involved in other more high volume industries (aeronautical and such). Again, don't quote me as this is from my memory. I remember the distributor being very friendly and knowledgeable.

Kaizu,
Can you post the exact rim dimensions (width and offset) and tire sizes used on the green RS?

I can ask the price range from the owner. That 29k mdiez mentioned above sounds too crazy.

I think 9x19" and 12x19", offsets I do not know.

The tire sizes, in front it's 265/30/19 and on back it has the new GT2 sizing which is 325/30/19 (?)...

Cool pics! I never thought I would like the green calipers, but they look great on the RS. Perhaps because is in its natural environment: the track!

On the price, yes it is waaaaay too expensive. Could be just a US thing though. I have a feeling they would be less expensive in Europe.
