996 GT3 oil level

I did an oil and filter change ( first time for me on this car ). I have 9.5 qts. of Mobil 0w40 in it and it shows full using the proper procedure with the computer but using the dipstick method I'm getting nothing or hardly anything showing. It is hard to tell with the clean oil. I don't want to add to much. Whats up?

Yes, I followed the instructions per owners manual for both computer and manual check. Engine was at full operating temp and idling.

well you sure don't want to overfill...my dealer has a great tech that works on my car and he fills it to one bar below max on the puter...the amount you put in with filter replacement sounds right...

I've never gotten any reading on the stick. Very disconcerting, but the dealer said use the computer.
