Faster than a GT2 around a track and fully ready to go. I am thinking about picking this one up. I saw it at the track a month ago and was very impressed with the build quality, fully adjustable aero package, monster wheels, good brakes, suspension, 600HP . It was flying by GT3's, 700HP 996TT's, and was on par with a Cup car. A truly great value.

285 front tires!

One sold on ebay a few weeks ago for $91K new

If I recall correctly, I checked into the ACR earlier this year. That evil-bay ad shows a convertible in there, too. Why? They are not even remotely the same car. Are they selling the race car with the rear wing?

Best rationalization I've heard yet. My brain works this way as well... only thing you forgot were some shoes and purses for the better half.

A buddy of mine recently replaced his GT3 with the new 600hp Viper coupe (not ACR). He says he loved it. Plus you can get 650hp+ out of it with simple bolt-ons.

No. No Aerial Atom. Out of business, no support.

ACR sounds interesting.

Cup Car is more cashola than I want to spend.
Hey I did not know Aerial is out, but are you aware of Chrysler may sell Viper? Last I heard the potential bidders are smaller scale manufacturers like Saleen and Roush. I hope they are financially sound and ready/able to market the Viper and not end up like Unique Performance in Dallas.

No, I didn't know that about the Viper. Is the ACR the one with the cup car appearance? Roll cage, huge wing, no passenger seat, etc. ?

The Viper ACR's are ridiculous (check out the vid of the 'ring lap record).
The Radical's are sweet too. Couldn't you keep your GT3 and strip out your EVO and make it a track beast?

Ariel is not out of business. Brammo motorsports (Ashland, Oregon) sold the rights to Trak Inc (providers of the Ariel Atom Experience) and the ATOM3 is now bring produced in Danville, VA (home of VIR).

Im not sure if they have cranked out any ATOM 3s as of yet. My father and I took delivery of the very last ATOM 2.

Lotus do not appeal to me because they are not fast enough.
Tell me more about Diasio. They have my interest right now.

I'm not quite sure I understand your logic....

GT3 is too nice to ball up at the track, but a 55-80K car is OK to write off?

Viper ACR: Fastest street legal car for the track price no object, durable, supposedly easy to drive given the aero package.
