No, Cup car is a full-on race car, ACR is a viper with track focused bolt-on parts...i.e. dual adjustable KW coilovers, stoptech brakes, racing clutch etc. etc.

One is street legal, the other isn't.....huge difference.

If you are hung up on the German thing and think that a Carrera cup car is tops well one can not say much.
I will say that for the money the Viper ACR is a monster. On the "ring" is ran a 7:22 and probably 7:20 if the driver didn't hit the rev limiter a thousand times. Would a Cup car run that?

Do not get me wrong, I love the Cup car and the new ones are awesome but the price and if you can get one.

The ACR for the price is ready to go, all 600 naturally aspirated bhp and 560 torque. The car is a turn-key-terror for the track. Also as someone stated that with some bolt-ons you can get 650hp.

If you really wanted to lose your mind, there are the Viper conversions and go for the 1000hp.

There is another car not mentioned. The Vette ZR1. No slouch at 638 bhp and over 600 lb/ft torque. It even has ceramic brakes with 16" rotors.
Not a bad car to take to the track a run the snot out of it.
All for $100K.

Good luck,
Ranger

The new ZR1 is a good option, but I don't think you'll be able to buy one at $100K. Market being what it is, there will probably be a stiff premium on them.

the ACR is an awesome track tool, no doubt, but I'm still trying to figure out how a 110K GT3 is too "nice" to track, but a $98K Dodge isn't?

I think if you more clearly defined what your intentions are for your replacement of the GT3, then better suggestions could be made.

It's not. I'm just curious about the ACR.
The replacement needs to be at least 50% of value to make sense. Thanks.

IMO George you are looking at just as pricey options to replace your gt3 with, if I were in your position there would be no way in he'll I would give that car up unless you were bored, and even then for a cup or gt2 for change...

How about a stripped bare bones m3 with every part thrown at it, what's the criteria looking like ?

Absolutely nothing boring about the 7 GT3.
Yes, it appears that I'm looking at pricey replacements. The reality is I just have curiousity about those cars. The likely replacement will need to be at least a 50% of value change difference to make sense to me.
So, the search is still on.
