No offense, but a 430 spyder is not a track car....ferrari quit making track cars for enthusiasts when they quit offering manual transmissions.

you do realise ferrari still offers a manual option? most buyers opt for the F1 trans. can we infer that an e46 M3 with smg is not for enthusiasts either?

I meant as the standard transmission.....to Ferrari, the manual is the stepchild option at this point. Not to mention they had a recall on all their 6 speed manual 430's from the MY2005 that started back in early 2007. It's almost like they are trying to get rid of them.

You can infer whatever you like, but the manual is still traditionally the gearbox of choice to those who relish involvement over ultimate speed.

I'm not saying it's any better, because in reality it isn't...but it's more fun and involving, and I personally enjoy doing my own rev matching.

No worries, just horses for courses....

After having a GT3 you cant buy anything since you have already owned the best. If it were me and you just want a car for the track buy a well put together track 944. That way if you put it into a wall and have a cage you are OK and the parts are cheep.

If you want something street legal and awesome on the track look at a Rossion.

If you want an extremely fast and fun and reliable track only car look at an ADR3. Two seats, open ****pit, Honda K20 engine, 255HP, 1100 lbs. Pulls 2.4Gs.

The ACR is a car that likely we will never see the likes of again. I hope to add one to garage.
Sorry, but a Noble or Rossion will outrun it. Mass is your enemy at the track. Oh and it is $100K. Used Noble around $50K to 70K.

why dont you just buy a devoted track car and keep your car? Like a Lotus, or even a Radical SR3, My friend is the only dealer in the US for them if u want more info...fantastic track cars. i see your problem with tracking the GT3, but i think you will feel the same way about a 996 GT2. Just get a GT3-RS and clear bra the whole thing so you dont have to worry about little nicks and keep your P car
