GT2 and the Texas Mile

Anyone out there ran their GT2 in the Texas Mile? I have been asked to do it, but this would be the first run an 08 could make. Last event was end of March, and my car just arrived and wasn't going to get pushed that hard. I am wondering how any 996's have done, Turbo's, or anything else.

I will be pushing just over 600 HP when the run hits. I am guessing I might hit 200.

Dr joe ran his stage 4(6oohp)GT2 w/race gas at the mile & posted 176mph. So I don't think you will be close to 200mph without at least 750-800hp.

Well, that will give me something to beat. Don't know how I would do it, but at least I can mouthe a little. I wonder if launch control will give me a little more? I am doing a larger intake and some new silicon hoses to help upper end. I'm guessing I hope the 997 GT2 is better than that!

I didn't know you were doing the hoses. You'll run 201mph then.
