in some essence we are saying the same thing, maybe I used the wrong terminology in saying it shrinks, but either way after heat is applied it either "tightens" or becomes rigid again...it's the same concept when dealing with the heat ....I just used the wrong key words....my apologies

This is still not correct. Heat does not shrink or tighten anything.... nothing tightens. If you have experience with this, then you are using calendered vinyl. because of the way calendered vinyl is manufactured (rolled out words from a single source) its memory wants to snap back to that liquid ball, so when heat is applied it shrinks (small margin) Cast vinyl which is used for wrapping cars, which is cast into a sheet, has a flat memory, so heat is only needed to break the memory and reset it. it does not shrink.
you can often tell incorrect wraps if concave surfaces are pulling up or "tenting" because the memory wasn't properly set or it was done in calendered vinyl.
I guess i will do this write up this weekend to give everyone the full scoop on wraps. Stay tuned!

Yes, the question is how much if any damage was done during the application process. Generally the vinyl is trimmed on the car with a blade. They say they only score the vinyl to trim it, but if you go a little too deep you've got a nice cut into the clear coat.

WOWZERS - personally if it was my car I would have left some parts contrasting body color but then again I could not afford it I'm sure...haha
I actually think the first couple pics look nicer with the 2-tone, anyone else?
What does something like this run just out of curiosity? Anyone in the bay area does this? Would be cool to wrap a panels in flat black but how durable is this material against chips / scratches, car washes, etc?
