My Traqmate and ChaseCam install
I know that there was a thread on this where we could post our installs up, but I have searched and just can't find it. Sorry.
Anyway, Synergy Racing at VIR installed all this, and I bought it all from Chris at CDOC. I'm still learning how to use it, including installing Parallels on my Mac to run the Windows only programs. I'll be at VIR this weekend, so we'll soon know how well it works! Hopefully, I'll have proof of a two-oh-somethin finally.
Front window ChaseCam in the foreground, Traqmate module in the rear. This is really cool. The way that they installed it, the cam actually clips into the visor clip and then the cam has another visor clip on the back of it and the visor clips in there.
Traqmate module. I didn't get a good pic, but Synergy made a carbon fiber bracket to hold it up there out of sight behind the windshield banner.
All the technical shiznit that I ain't figured out yet... But we're going to soon have it where I can see what the cameras see (and are recording) in that screen. Totally useless, but it only costs $10 or so for that cable. Might as well.
Another bad pic. I'm not that flexible. That's the cam that shoots me on the top left blurry area. The camera isn't that blurry to look at in real life.

Jared, Nice set up. Now I know why I like you, your a Mac user!
I just noticed that you still have your rear seats in your car, I removed mine, I think that they weighed about 40lbs in total. I put them in a box and parked them in my crawl space.
I can't wait to see the video, I am looking for a new system for my car.

Actually, the seat bases are out of the car, just the backs remain. They actually hold the subwoofers in. I know, I know. But I jam on the warm up and cool down laps and it makes me happy. So I'm gonna keep usin' my heavy *** subwoofers and amps until I get to be a good enough driver that it makes a difference.
Here they are:
Obviously, the cage wasn't in when I took these pics. Now, I'll have to cut these out if I ever want to get them out again... or take out the front seats and the cage. That'll suck. So, I'm good with subwoofers!

BTW the seat backs are heavier then you think. I took mine out before the roll bar went in, and couldn't believe how heavy they were.

I second that!! Parallels is easy to use once you get the damn hard drive partitioned.

That's a pretty sweet set up, Jared! What doesn't your car have?!?
So it looks like you have a two camera set up, right? I also have a two bullet cam set up in my car, although not as sophisticated as yours.
My second rear camera can be placed in any direction. Even though I found it fun and interesting to film myself in the drivers seat, rowing through the gears and heel toe downshifting and all, it still wasn't the best for me.
What turned out to be the best footage for me was when the rear camera filmed out the rear window. When I played back the footage with the 2nd camera view in a smaller window, I could really appreciate:
a. How fast I pulled away from people once I passed them
b. All the good footage of people who were hot on my tail and passed me
Just something I thought you'd might want to play around with!

Great idea, Dan. Good stuff.
And I can't figure my $hit out. I'm serious. I wasted half my day trying to get something on the card. On top of that, I'm a Mac user, so I have to have Windows running in my Mac. OK. So I've got that. But now when I plug in the card reader, it opens it in my OSX instead of my Windows and I can't get to it from the Traqmate program.
Argh! Simple is better, especially for guys like me. See you next weekend.
Oh, man. When you and I were texting back and forth tonight, my wife and I were enjoying our first sushi night out since last year because of Elias! It's apparently bad to eat raw fish when you're prego.
